Thank you for asking. I slept soundly. I had my weekly chat with across the road Sheila and then our good friends from the North, Lynn and Darryl popped in on their way to the VSO awards. They have been doing some good work in Rwanda and Darryl who is Durham’s answer to Bear Grylls has had a painful foot operation.
Then a drink with Ronnie who I hadn’t seen for far too long, an Indian and then two hours of a mixed bag of stand up comics at the Half Moon. I slept well.
At 6.15 am a sharp dig in the ribs and the cold dark of a December morning began. But today was different, somewhere a manger stirred. Delilah Belle Thompson was at that point two hours old. Victoria had not slept well she had more important things to do, Leo had waited a long time for that moment at 4.19. No doubt Octavia would be suitably noisy in her celebrations for her new sister. At 8lbs 8oz she weighs in as a bonnie lass.
Unto Vicky and Leo a child is born. The star in our window shines brighter today.
